CHFJPY Pip Calculator
Calculate CHFJPY pip value, points, lot size, margin and profit for any account currency.
CHFJPY prices the Swiss franc in Japanese yen, pairing two currencies that are both seen as safe havens. Because both tend to gain in stressful markets, the cross is often driven more by the relative policy of the Swiss National Bank and the Bank of Japan, interest-rate differentials and intervention risk than by general risk mood. It is a less liquid cross, with activity concentrated in the European session, plus yen flows in Tokyo. Spreads are usually wider than on the majors. For calculations it behaves like other yen pairs: one pip is 0.01 and a standard lot of 100,000 francs earns ¥1,000 per pip. The US-dollar value is that amount divided by USDJPY.

Calculation notes
- USD pip value per lot = ¥1,000 ÷ USDJPY; CHF account: ¥1,000 ÷ CHFJPY.
- Margin is based on 100,000 CHF, which is usually worth more than $100,000, so margin per lot is relatively high.
- Wider spreads mean the break-even distance in pips is larger; add the spread to your stop distance.
