NAS100, also listed as US100 or USTEC, is a CFD on the Nasdaq-100, an index of the 100 largest non-financial companies on the Nasdaq exchange. It is heavily weighted towards technology and growth stocks, which makes it particularly sensitive to interest-rate expectations and bond yields, as well as to earnings from the largest technology firms. It is usually more volatile than the Dow or S&P 500 in percentage terms. Most activity happens in the US cash session, 9:30 to 16:00 New York time, and around US inflation, jobs and Fed events. At many brokers 1 lot is $1 per index point, but some use $10, $20 or smaller units, so confirm the value before sizing a trade.

Calculation notes
- Default: 1 lot = $1 per point, so a 100-point move = $100 per lot; at $20 per point it would be $2,000.
- Nasdaq moves are large in points, so stops in points tend to be wide; size from money risk.
- Futures equivalents: E-mini Nasdaq (NQ) is $20 per point, Micro (MNQ) $2 per point.
FAQ
How much is 1 point on NAS100 with 1 lot?
With a $1 per point contract it is $1 per lot; 0.1 lot is $0.10 per point. Some brokers use other point values, so check the contract specification.
What lot size on NAS100 risking $200 with an 80-point stop?
Lots = $200 ÷ (80 × $1) = 2.5 lots at $1 per point.

One NQ contract is $20 per point (tick $5 per 0.25), so 20 CFD lots at $1 per point carry the same point exposure as 1 NQ.
