US30 Lot Size Calculator (Dow Jones)
Calculate US30 pip value, points, lot size, margin and profit for any account currency.
US30 is a CFD on the Dow Jones Industrial Average, an index of 30 large US companies. Unlike most indices it is price-weighted, so shares with a high price have more influence than those with a large market value. It reacts to US economic data, Federal Reserve expectations, Treasury yields, earnings from its member companies and overall risk sentiment. The busiest period is the US cash session, 9:30 to 16:00 New York time, especially the opening hour and around data releases. The point value is what you must get right: many CFD brokers set 1 lot at $1 per index point, but others use $5, $10 or fractions, so the same lot size can carry very different risk.

Calculation notes
- Default here: 1 lot = $1 per point, so 100 points = $100 per lot. At $10 per point the same move is $1,000.
- The MT5 point (smallest step) is often 0.1 index point; a '50-point' stop means 50.0 index points, not 50 ticks.
- For futures-style sizing, the E-mini Dow (YM) is $5 per point and the Micro (MYM) $0.50 per point.
FAQ
How much is 1 point on US30 with 1 lot?
Point value = lots × contract value per point. With a $1 per point contract, 1 lot = $1 per point and 0.1 lot = $0.10. Check your broker's specification, as some use $10 or more.
What lot size on US30 risking $100 with a 50-point stop?
Lots = $100 ÷ (50 × $1) = 2 lots at $1 per point. With a $10 per point contract the answer is 0.2 lots.
How much is a 300-point Dow move on 0.5 lots?
0.5 × 300 × $1 = $150 with a $1 per point contract.
