SPX500 Lot Size Calculator (S&P 500)
Calculate SPX500 pip value, points, lot size, margin and profit for any account currency.
SPX500, also shown as US500, is a CFD on the S&P 500, a market-capitalisation-weighted index of 500 large US companies and the most widely used benchmark for US equities. Its moves are driven by Federal Reserve expectations, bond yields, corporate earnings, economic data such as jobs and inflation, and the largest technology names that dominate its weighting. It usually moves less than the Nasdaq 100 in percentage terms but more than many European indices. Most volume occurs in the US cash session, 9:30 to 16:00 New York time. Index points on the S&P 500 are relatively few compared with the Dow, so a point is a bigger percentage move; many CFD brokers still set 1 lot at $1 per point.

FAQ
How much is 1 point on SPX500 with 1 lot?
With a $1 per point contract, 1 lot = $1 and 0.5 lot = $0.50 per point. Check your broker's contract specification.
What lot size on SPX500 risking $150 with a 15-point stop?
Lots = $150 ÷ (15 × $1) = 10 lots at $1 per point; at $10 per point it would be 1 lot.
How many SPX500 CFD lots equal one ES contract?
ES is $50 per point, so 50 lots at $1 per point give the same exposure per point.
